Declare a Super Simple Month to Help Set Limits [Time Management]

Declare a Super Simple Month to Help Set Limits [Time Management]: "

Sometimes it's not enough to prioritize our to-do lists and add buffers to our schedules. To re-energize yourself and stay on track, consider declaring a Super Simple Month.

If your schedule is overflowing with commitments and dozens of low- and medium-priority things you have to do, take a step back and see if you could pare them down for the next 30 days without any major backlash.

Erin over at organizational blog Unclutterer did exactly that.

I've declared February as a Super Simple Month in our house. To me, a Super Simple Month is defined as no travel for work, one social engagement a week or less, no shopping except for necessities, and no new large projects (craft, writing, organizations, etc.). The goal is to finish some items already in progress on my to-list, relax as much as I can with my family, and be as low-key as possible.

Think about what commitments you could set aside for one month without too much hassle. You don't want to back out of a promise to coach your son's little league team at the last minute, but what about begging off your once-a-month poker game? You've got to nail your work deadlines, but do you really have to organize the office bowling league?

Where can you cut back in your schedule and live 'super-simply' for a month. Share your ideas in the comments.
